LED grow lights in outlet bad?

So I just bought one 1200w and one 900w LED grow light..
Didn't really think about it but that's a lot of watts lol...
I am wondering, would I just be able to stuff those into my bedroom outlet? Lol.. Or should I be worried about too much power in one outlet?

Thats probably too much for one breaker. A thousand watts is 8.33 amps. Im guessing your breakers are 15 amps? If they are 20 you can run that if there's nothing much else on that one circuit

Depending on the brand/quality of the LED they may not actually draw anywhere close to 2100W...do you have an ammeter?

Well it also depends what else is on that circuit, because that one plug is normaly not the only plug or wall switch thats on that line\breaker so more then likly u wont be able to run both on the same circuit

well i have 8 lights in one room but i also had a electrician come out and ran a 40 amp line from my main breaker to the room to a sub panel then ran lines off the sub panal. so thats how peopel are able to run lots of lights in a room. also it depens on the size of main breaker in the house if its a 100amp or a 200amp

Real simple: Amps X Volts = Watts (similar to Rate X Time = Distance)
15 or 20 amp circuit breakers in the U.S, and outlets are 120V
15A x 120V = 1800w Max Load 20A X 120V = 2400w Max Load - These breakers are usually only in the garage and heavy use areas.
That includes every outlet that is on that circuit breaker.
Most likely your only using ~450w and 300w for both of those fixture, as advertisements tend to lie in the LED market.
*Bonus tip* if you know the watts or amps and your standard voltage you can figure out the amps or watts... Watts/Volts = Amps, and Watts/Amps = Volts. I.E 1000w bulb/120v = 8.33A, as stated above and no need for a special meter.
I just bought an oscillating fan that does not say the wattage or voltage, it just lists it as 0.35A

I just got an XML 650 and running 4 DS100's on the sides running a total of 998w for my 4x6 area. Think I might get another and expand the tent to use the whole 4x8.

Idk got both for under 500 on eBay.. I just hope they work as good as I expect, and last long lol.. But I think I'd still prefer getting these. At least first time around then I can always upgrade
Thanks everyone for help. I might only need one for now so then the 1200 should work fine in my outlet. I will prob also get those gadgets for showing electisity usage and figure out the math for what I can handle before upgrading the wires? Lol. Should be good

The problem with generics is that they are not designed to last long or get you the best light you can get. I'd stop spending money on cheap fixtures and wait to buy a decent fixture.
