 im so worried about my speakers

I ordered some new speakers for my car. The front ones were obviously completely dry rotted, so I knew it wasn't the wiring.
I assumed the back ones were rotted too since they didn't work. I ordered them and pulled the old ones out. The old ones look fine, i can't see anything wrong with them other than the damage I did pulling them out.
Is anyone here good with car audio? Is there a way to test the wiring in my car? I don't wanna solder my new shit in only to find out the wiring is bad.
Fuuuuuuuck I'm so nervous.

That's the one with the positive and negative pronged, right?
Then I just touch one to the positive and one to the negative speaker wire? With the engine and radio on I assume?
Sorry I'm pretty new to anything electrical.

My car is from 1989 it needs to be soldered unless I wanna buy an adapter.

Now I'm really fucking pissed. I found the audio wire map for my car, but the rear speakers only have green/brown wires going to them. Its supposed to be yellow and blue and shit. Both sides only have green and brown.
How the fuck do I tell positive and negative?!

Lol I'm such a dipshit, they were just extensions. Got it figured out.
Now everybody peeping out their windows when they hear me beating up the street.
