 im so worried about my speakers

I ordered some new speakers for my car. The front ones were obviously completely dry rotted, so I knew it wasn't the wiring.
I assumed the back ones were rotted too since they didn't work. I ordered them and pulled the old ones out. The old ones look fine, i can't see anything wrong with them other than the damage I did pulling them out.
Is anyone here good with car audio? Is there a way to test the wiring in my car? I don't wanna solder my new shit in only to find out the wiring is bad.
Fuuuuuuuck I'm so nervous.

That's the one with the positive and negative pronged, right?
Then I just touch one to the positive and one to the negative speaker wire? With the engine and radio on I assume?
Sorry I'm pretty new to anything electrical.

You shouldn't have to solder your speaker to the wire, new speakers have quick connections. Plug in the new ones and see what's up.
Or check em like Positive said. And yes you want the radio turned on and sending power to them.

My car is from 1989 it needs to be soldered unless I wanna buy an adapter.

Well new speakers should just have a quick connection. And you can just strip the wires and stick em in there.

Now I'm really fucking pissed. I found the audio wire map for my car, but the rear speakers only have green/brown wires going to them. Its supposed to be yellow and blue and shit. Both sides only have green and brown.
How the fuck do I tell positive and negative?!

Lol I'm such a dipshit, they were just extensions. Got it figured out.
