Capp Ebb and Grow - Part Deux

Okay,
This will be my second attempt at the Capp Ebb and Grow - 12 Site Hydroponic Grow system
Here is my previous grow
I have made a few changes this time including
- 2 Brand new Agrosun 1000w HPS bulbs
- 12x - 2.5 inch spacers cut out of PVC
- Using rockwool through the whole setup, instead of hydroton
- keeping my ppm around 700 (due to the rockwool holding the nutrient salts)
They were moved in from my Kiddy Pool Ebb and Flow Tek
The concept here is that the Ebb and Grow system will flood the rockwool enough that it absorbes all the way through a slab and 2 - 4x4 cubes. Once it is completely saturated (15 min) the whole thing is drained back out and the PVC spacers allow for none of the rockwool to be submerged in the water left in the buckets.
This seems to be working splendidly at the moment. Pics to follow, most likely tonight

Why aren't you using both the rockwool and hydroton? I'm curious of your answer because thats what I'm doing for my grow. Once your roots grow outside of the rockwool with this new grow what are you gonna do with them?

Multiple people have stated that using 2 different mediums is not good. This is what I did with my first grow, 1 4x4 grodan cube into a bed of hydroton.
This didn't seem to get me what I wanted out of the grow. AFOAF has this same setup on a drip system ( Slab, cube, cube.) and get tremendous fruits!!
so once the plant grows into the slab, if the roots want to continue down into the reservoir, that's fine. I just want to make sure the rockwool get's completely drained and not sitting in water.

Try going straight from the rw cube dig out a pit in the slab and plant directly into the slab works like a charm

you say go from a cube to slab? because that's what I am doing.
if your saying from netpot to slab, i could buy that. these are looking wonderful, can't be long now.

Sorry everyone for not posting updates. Having the spacers has created a huge rootball!!!
I've been keeping the ppm around a nice 700 and the results are promising. I ran out of co2 near the end and i am debating filling since they are about done.
Mu Question: When is co2 used by the plant more? during veg, bloom, end?
Enjoy the pics.

What exactly did you use as spacers? Curious because this is my first time with the ebb and grow. So far the system runs perfect.

I cut 2 1/2 in. pvc to raise the inner bucket out of the water.
Remember, I am using rockwool this time and not hydroton

What ratios of rockwool cubes did you use(wicking vs repelling variety)? Also what made you decide on the switch and not the new liners for the cap system? I'm skeptical about the new liners also.

new liners?
what I have in there is a slab -> cube -> cube. going to go to one single large cube in the future.
there is something called a STG deluge insert, and you can see the tips and tricks from this video.
I did not like the hydroton, i didn't get all the dust out and it cost me a bit in growth.
i couldn't find any info on the liners you are talking about?

Total for 12 plants and 2000w was 18 oz dry.
I am very unhappy with that number. I had a serious temp issue, and I believe that was the problem. It was very cold in there.
I had a larger root structure than AFOAF with the same strain, same nutes, and I have never seen bigger buds in my life.
Trying again.
Expanded room by 7 feet. and added a 600w HPS in the middle
NOW: 1000w 600w 1000w
12 Plants. (and a temp regulating heater)

What are the dimentions of the room now that you've expanded?
