Having a hard time deciding on a light.

I'm going crazy searching all over the place for the best light.
I started this venture just wanting a simple 600watt hps with an air cooled hood.
Then I start calculating shit and for 60-80 more I can just get a 1000 watt.
Would 1000watt be too big for a 4x7 space? Heat wise I mean. Plus, would that not be enough space for a decent footprint?
I also want to get a 6inch carbon filter and inline fan but 180 bucks holy shit.
If I got the 1000watt I think I'd need a air cooled hood because wouldn't that allow me to keep the lights close to the plants?
I've only dealt with a 400 watt so I have no idea what to expect from 1000 watt. That may be a little too much for my space.
From what I gathered I'm thinking I'm gunna have to spend $450 for a 1000watt aircooled and fan/filter. Does that sound about right? I don't wanna get ripped off.

The 1000 would be fine with good air exchange.

Just remember, 600w are the most efficient in terms of lumens/watt. You can always get a 600w now and add another one later if necessary.
2x600w = 190,000~ lumens 1x1000w = 140,000~ lumens
600w = 16~ lumens/watt 1000w = 14~ lumens/watt
Not only 50k more lumens but multiple light sources, double bonus. You can also bring them closer to the plants.

This is true
I definitely agree here.....I would much rather run 2 small lamps than 1 large one
