so recently ive been thinking of a good stealthy way to grow some bud. ive got 6 clones, 4 seedlings, and a 150 watt HPS light. at first i was thinking (still kind of am) about getting one of those sun hut grow tents. but even thats pretty suspicious looking.
im not trying to get a huge grow growing. i only have a 150 watt light, and i doubt im going to grow the seedlings into full plants. i have other plants for those, so im really focusing on the 6 clones. so heres my idea:
this will take 4 plastic tubs, 3 stacked up on top of each other with the 4th on the side. youll see why in a second. in the top tub, i plan to mount my light, cut out the bottom of the tub, and replace with either plexiglas or actual glass. ill also have to install a couple of computer fans into the top box to cool the light off.
the bottom 2 tubs will be almost, fused together. the top of the bottom tub will be cut out, and the top and bottom of the middle tub will be cut out. this middle part can be removable. i can add the middle tub when the clones get tall enough. ill also have to install 2 more PC fans to circulate air in and out of the grow area, and when the plants really start stinking ill buy a carbon filter and run the air duct into another tub.
theres nothing i can do to stop the buzzing of the light, but i think that if its done properly, it would be a very efficient and effective (stealth wise) grow box.
any ideas? concerns? im up for constructive criticism.
the dresser would obviously work out, but the tub ideas is interesting. it would be easy to just tell curious people that it's some weird stack of old paperwork or something who would investigate further with a boring answer like that?
this would be fuckin sweet and easy to make. i just need to go out tomorrow and find a cheap, decent sized dresser and get to work on that. then get some money together to buy a carbon filter and exhaust fan like that. i wouldnt mind investing in a stealth grow box like that...
