hello, i am actually not sure what this is and im wondering if any of you can help me. I have the photos below.
I have it in a basin filled with distilled water and Botanicare nutrient products: Grow, Liquid Karma, Silica Blast, Sweet Karma, Cal-Mag and a liquid oxidizer.
Plants are doing well but this new growth on the roots started about a week or two ago and i keep washing it out but it comes back and i am unsure what to do to get rid of it.

Hello Again: I just want to elaborate on what has been going on. A week ago I realized I had a bit of algae growth on the bottom of the root systems. I added 2mL of oxidizer per gallon of water to reduce the likelihood for algae growth. Since putting in the oxidizer and liquid karma I now have algae with a gel like consistent goop that is blended with the algae. Does anyone have any experience with this? I notice that I could cut off that root system as I have many new and stronger roots growing down. hmmm, I wash the roots and they have taken the color brown, most likely from the algae. All the other new roots are white.
Thanks in advance.

Are you using any air stones or pumps to keep your water feed mixture moving? If not then do. Does it rinse away easily? Some nute mixes can stain the roots, which isn't a problem really. I'd recommend a product such as hydrozyme or cannazym to promote a clean and healthy root bed.

Is probably cyno bacteria or "dwc slime" if thats what it is you wont be able to kill it with h202 or emzymes you gòing to have to brew a micro tea and add it to you res regiment to defeat it
Thats what it looks like to me
