The longer the dry, the better, but you wanna keep them out of light.

It seems to me that the whole "keep 'em in the dark" thing is a myth. What harm can a little ambient light do?
The rocket science to drying is to be sensitive and attentive enough to properly monitor the drying conditions and progress, and take appropriate action.

It'll break down actives, even in dry bud.
With fresh cut, it will have more effect because there are chemical processes that need to take place for it to reach full potency.
Not much rocket science to drying. I did it in a cupboard, without hanging...the hard part is the willpower training lol

He's right. It does need to stay out of the light. Like he said, breaks down actives and can effect the end product.

Hard is not really the word IMO
For me, after I dry and jar up a harvest, I feel like if I Somehow only had a lighter, I would try using my hand as a pipe. Like if I had a broken arm, and ambulance will be here in 30 min, I'd take a nug of it over some oxy or painkiller. Lol it just makes any situation amazing to have dank that I grew myself I guess.
This is probably why only 7g of over 4oz got to be well cured._. It took 5 weeks, but I opened the jars so much that idk if it can take less. Durring the last week a new, completely different, smell took over the fruity/earthly. So yeah.. it's really worth it lol that's the good+bad news.
