I had to harvest 2 of my plants, both Short Ryder plants, I hung from the branches for 3 days then took the buds off the braches and am drying in a paper bag, problem is it doesnt smell like pot, it almost smells like lawn grass?? Did I harvest to early?? too late?? Plants smelled great while growing, The tri's had swollen up and just started to turn milky, some still clear. The reason I had to harvest these 2 was they were auto seeds and to make a long story short the other 15 were su[pposed to be auto also but didnt flower, turned lights back to 12/12 and all the others flowered so the 2 auto plants had to suffer because of this, they get u high just bad smell and taste??
It's not uncommon for them to smell like that when they're drying. Some strains I have grown will do that then smell great, while others smell great the entire time, while others still smell good while they row and once dried and cured smell like hay. Not sure of the reason for it. But I wouldn't give up on em yet.
-------------------- Dude she isn't as young as she use to be.
Mine has had virtually no smell while flowering. I hooked a carbon scrubber up a while ago but have ben amazed by the no smell. But if I rub my fingers on one of the leaves I will get the distinctive bud smell. I've read the odor improves through curing as well. So give it a try.
