I was hoping you would respond to my post. I did massive research prior to purchase and when I saw the companies you posted I wanted to reply. I purchased from cfnproducts ~ posted on ebay but not a lighting company. I had read so many horror stories and so many fairytales ~ all regarding LED. Still it was very appealing if the proper lights were bought. My lights actually do fit the your description of good fixtures, 5 Band, state of the art, in country with good warranty and customer service, & all just released in the past year. As I said ~ never have I had any of these issues with HPS. I truly feel there is a spectrum deficiency, and perhaps you are correct, maybe my particular lights are the problem. I did have one strain that grew very lush (Indica/Chem 24) but none others (mostly Sativa/lemon lime). I'll admit ... I have been racking my brains over the issues resulting, so if there's a trick to LED growing I'm all ears. I'm definitely going to keep using them, & since I added the HPS back into the mix things are returning to normal. Your response is truly appreciated. Thank you

There is nothing state of the art about 5 bands, unless they've been making the 2 and 3 band. After looking at the cfn lights on ebay I can tell you in the first second that their stuff is junk. They are the people I was warning about, junk advertisement, lies and garbage fixtures. Their USA status is that they might be able to afford a little bit of overhead, but thats about it. They're importers. They have no say in what the internal components are, selling just the default cheap 5 band 'led grow light' you can get from alibaba.com and shipped from China (don't do it). They might cover the warranty but they are just selling you a product they have no clue about. If they were serious about LED's they would at least customize the fixture to have more than 5 bands--but that drives up the price. Stay off of ebay if you expect to buy a decent fixture. So yes, your fixtures are lacking in blue, but probably from all others as well.
Next time try Advanced LED. Its more expensive, but you can actually use the light to flower with. True, they are importing their lights from China and they cost 3x more than ordering direct yourself, but they have taken the time to customize the light and ensure its quality. They actually want a good reputation for LED grow lights. cfnproducts and all others on ebay are not focused on the building the reputation of the product, just selling it.
There are too MANY corners that can be cut and still be able to say things that make it sound like its a good light. Your lights probably don't even have a real heat sink, look inside the vents on the side and see if there is just a flat metal sheet or if its got fins. Does your power cord at least detach from the light? it looks attached in their photo's, which is a very primitive for any LED fixture these days.
"This is the newest generation on the market and was just released 07-5-2011" for the 125w. "This is the newest generation on the market and was just released 07-5-2012." on the 90w. <-- look fishy to you? "This is the newest generation on the market and was just released 02-5-2011" on the 300w
and they all say they were just released after 6 months of testing. I'm sorry if you bought their bullshit, ask about their return policy.

You are correct about the cut corners. After further examination per your instruction I did find that there were no fins only flat sheet of metal inside. The cords are removable on the 90 watt fixtures but not the 120's. I went to Advanced LED and looked at the spectrum charts for their fixtures and it definitely confirms the lacking blue & ultra red spectrums in the lights I have purchased. Again I thank you for your input. It's difficult to get good advice these days.

You can buy a cheap HID setup and have it work, but if you buy a cheap LED you will have wasted all your money.

I have a 300Watt LED and its not that great. It works. Stealth growing its ideal. But 90W is definately NOT comparable to a 600w hps
