fuck it im jus gonna make a salad out of half... that way most the actives are still in the leaves, one grapefruit has been consumed to potentiate, and a garlic, vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil and onion, with leaf salad is prepared

Be careful tiggy. I'd hate to see another 'teen ODs on store bought like opiates news flash'...the salvia kid was more than bad enough.
On that note, I once made an opium like tea. Ecxept, I dride the brew by evaporating it and then collected the left behind residue. I think I may have boiled it as well, I don't rememeber. I only used half grown leaves and I didn't feel much of an effect from smoking the tar; but, I could definately taste the poppy/opiate content. I just don't think it was very high. I used about the amount of leaves you can fit into a normal size sandwich bag.
Lastly, I knew I had gotten some opiate in me becaus I had the 'heroin' shits a couple days later. They were horrible, it was like a metaphorical female poltergeist was trying to escape my body. Please excuse me if that's too forward. I just think anyone who is about to try opiates for the first time should know what they are getting into.

well the reason why u felt nuttin is cuz opiates evaporate at like 175 degrees, U have to use a very low heat, usually drying the leaves in the sun and then simmering in a pot on low with lemon juice, that amount of leaves should of had you doin well. My head is getting very heavy, and typing is tedious, I still have half a sammich bag left, also the grapefruit makes it 2x's stronger, oh boy... hahaha this is gonna be a nice day, but yeah leaves are weak in comparison to pods, or the tar, Ill be alright, I used to bang dope so I know what an acceptable level is

I think I read somewhere that you could get opium from any kind of poppy? If so, would it be suspicious or illicit to have a porch full of em? I thought it was specific to one species?

it is most poppies have small amounts of actives but papaver somniferum is the opium poppy, they are pretty much legal being as you can buy them in some garden centers, or use the seeds you get for baking, just dont get caught trying to milk em, which is not what Im using mine for, Im just using them to prduce dried pods and sell em which is legal as long as its not sold for consumption

well you could probly buy some papaver somni seeds and then get some other non opium poppies and other flowers and pot em and put em outside without attracting attention, some good flowers for masking poppies are indian blanket flowers, and yarrow, and ofcourse stuff like california poppies or dutch flag poppies

When thinning I make salads with them, they are delicious! Don't expect anything but food, never felt a thing from the young plants and leaves. Oh, and did I mention they are delicous!

Yeah sounds like you were using mature plants just before flowering. I use them no taller then 3-4in cause thats when they are tastey and I know which ones to thin out.
