chopping for cannabutter

Im going to make some cannabutter and have a massive bag of leaf, i need to chop it up before i put it in with the boiling water and butter, can i use a house hold blender to do this or will it waste/destroy any of the thc i wont to get out of it during the cooking of water n butter?

That depends on what you are using to strain it. IF you are just going to use a metal strainer, then just boil the leaf as it is maybe breaking up big leaves and popcorn nugs. If you are going to use a cheesecloth or some kind of synthetic fabric, then use a coffee grinder to grind it into a powder. I powder it, boil it with butter and water, and strain that through a synthetic shirt that I got for $3.
