This might be something to look into for all of you DIY-ers who are interested in experimenting with LED's but afraid of the retail costs.
I'm gonna give it a try for sure though it may be six months before I get around to it so, I thought I'd throw it out here and see if someone else wanted to give it a shot as well and report back.

I haven't checked that out yet, but this is a place you can buy REALLY cheap LED's. I don't know which kinda LEDs you would need, but I've used this site for other things I've built and done, so if it'll help, here ya go:

I have built three DIY LEDs and those LEDs are insufficient for anything other than small herbs. Do some more research. To build a decent light, it is going to cost you about $3 per watt for a quality unit. Many people price bulbs withour factoring in the heatsinks and drivers and the case, etc.
