The space is 4x6, expecting 10 to 15 plants, doing an ebb and flow, would this be a good choice for a light? or would it be too much? if there is such a thing. http://www.amazon.com/1000-Watt-Economy-Light-System/dp/B001DVWH5G/ref=pd_sbs_ol_3
i was planning on getting the flange kit add on. what do you think?

It's definitely the right amount of light. I'd recommend getting a digital ballast and a better reflector if you can afford it. It'll be another $150 or so but will more than pay for itself by the end.

alright cool. what would be the issues with the ballast that comes with the light. And has anybody had any experience with this brand of light? or does it not really matter

well it's a magnetic ballast, so for the 1000W light it really consumes about 1400W of energy. That extra 400W is converted straight to heat which heats your room WAY fast. Also, they're kinda noisy, and they don't get your bulb quite as bright as a digital ballast.
Lumatek is the brand I use

Sun System, Super Sun 2 reflector and a Lunatek ballast.
My Lumatek 1000 watt ballast is on the way as we type.
Pot not addicting but growing is.
