Hello guys.. Im lookin at a 4x4 for my apt and was wondering if i stuck a 600w in there .. do i need the air cooled hood?
Also how much difference does a electronic ballast compared to a none electronic. is the electro alot more quiet?

YES you need an air cooled hood. if you dont your tent is gonna get hot as fuck. even with an air cooled hood my tent stays in the upper 70s to lower 80s depending on what part of the tent.
i have a sun system 400 watt electronic/digital ballast. absolutely no noise, no vibration, and very little heat.

I hope your apartment is big and has central air man or it will be hot as fuck in the summer.

fuck, it'll be hot no matter what time of year if he's not moving that hot air out. I lived with my grow tent for a while and it suuuucked.

was that with one of those cool tubed deals?
im thinkin maybe 400w cool tube with 2 fans and a 4x4x6.5 tent
its a small apt with no central air .. and im stuck for 6 months here..
i am in a legal state with a card so maybe i can work something out with venting..
or am i settin up for diaster?

yah, see you have to remember that you moving hot air out of your grow room but if you don't have a way to cool the air temps build up. Can you pony up the cash for a window ac unit? The only other thing I can think of is just to run the ducting to an open window, this requires you to keep the window open (and it's fairly obvious), but if you live in a med state and are legal it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

actually i can get a ac unit hopefully they make a small one and then ill just run the ducting out one side of the flaps
ya med state rocks i moved 1500 miles for my med liscense.. i have chronic pain and got addicted to opiates.. came to Co and got clean just from mmj alone
so i just ordered a 400w hps/mh electric ballast and all that .. its tubed and im goin ordered 2 fans with exhaust and filter
seeds are in foxfarm warrior and light is on the way .. tent will be shortly
