Potting/Medium Plan on using 5 gallon pails with holes drilled in the bottom for drainage. I'll be using Coco Coir with 30% perlite ( 2 650g bricks hydrated + 8 quarts of perlite mixed real well).
Nutrients Will be using general hydroponics flora series with calimagic.
Was wondering how many plants I should grow in the tent and how long should I veg them before flowering?
I'm only on my 2nd full grow, but I can tell you that in a 5x5 tent with a 1000 watt light you need a cool tube reflector. That thing would get hot fast.
you'll want an air cooled hood. there is no way in hell you'll be able to keep the temperature in that tent down with a 1000w in an open hood like that. even if you're exhausting with that inline fan. you'll burn all your plants.
this is the hood that i use. i've got one in a 5x5 tent with a 600w HPS (although i've ran 1000w before) and 2 more in a 4x8 tent. awesome reflector, perfect for that size grow tent.
