The 2 most effective, controllable methods are a co2 tank with a 0-60psi regulator that is equipped with an electric solenoid for on/off(so you can hook it up to a timer). That setup usually runs $200-$300 with a 20lb co2 tank. Otherwise, Co2 generators that run on propane or natural gas are great to, but can generate heat, and it you dont have a means of evacuating that heat, can cause problems. Less controllable methods are dry ice or vinagar and baking soda. These are usually only effective in small areas and take a lot of upkeep. Not to mention that the dry ice method gets fairly expensive. Here are some links for a tank setup, and are the best prices I found while looking.

You can get tanks locally. Just call a bar and ask them where they get theres from.
Hydrofarm seems to have a good regulator system (2 sizes). That plus a controller and sealed location would work fine.
