Help with a stealth grow

So I am dedicating the back of my closet to a stealth grow. I plan on using CFLs and Fluorescent lighting. After mounting most of the lights, I realized that I will not have space to lower the top lights to keep them close to the plants (they will hit the lights on the sides of the wall). There are 3 lights on top, and 2 to the left and right.
So I am thinking about moving the lights on the top (there are 3 of them) to the back of the wall - which will give me flouros on 3 sides - and then hanging CFLs from the top, shining light on the tops and on the sides of the plants. There won't be a lot of light on top of the plants, but there will be light coming from every side. After lining the walls with mylar, there should be a lot of light in this box.
What are your thoughts? How can I make best use of this space? I am not using my 600w HID due to 1) heat and 2) electricity.

Side lighting is never going to be on par with lighting from the top. That being said, it should work. Just don't expect huge yields.

While you want get huge yeilds you will get great smoke.
Those light will need to be just 2 to 3 inchs from the plants, even the side lighting, to do much good.
I've grow under fluorescent and loved the smoke produced.

That is what I thought. Constantly adjusting all of those lights is going to be a big hassle and hardly worth it.
The grow area is 38" L x 13.5" W x 29" H. Whatever that is squared and cubed, I have a feeling that with a 600w HID light putting out ~96,000 lumens, and a 6" fan pulling 450 CFM, my heat issues will be null?

A 600W is serious overkill. A 250W-400W is more appropriate. I would probably go with a 250W and sting up a couple of T5s on both sides. You will need an air cooled reflector. The fan is major overkill too.

Do you say overkill because there will be too much heat produced in such a small area to manage? I have a cooltube, so I can connect my fan directly to that.

Too much light. Its unnecessary. A 600W is good for 4x4-5x5' area.

I am about to return all of the flouros and then head down to my local hydro shop to pick up a 400w HPS bulb, a fan (how many CFM do I need for the area that I listed?), some mylar, and whatever else. I will also build a homemade carbon scrubber.

length x height x width = cubic feet
Normally you want to be able to evacuate the cf of the grow area in 5 minutes. So divide your cf by 5. That being said, I would rather have a larger fan and a speed controller. Speed controllers are about $25.
