question about reveging outdoor.

i put some plants outside a little early and they started budding i would just put new clones out but these have already been veging a few months inside already so i have just been dosing them with nitrogen trying to get them to revert. my question is if it is necessary to chop the top 2/3 of the plant off or can i just leave them? here are some pitures. the bigger one is bouncing back from a ph problem.

just leave em, theyll go back into veg in a month or so. plants look weird when they reveg like this, youll have immature buds and then stems branching from them.

iv been growing the biggest one indoors since the end of december and the other one since the end of january . the only difference was that i threw the bigger one in under my 400 watt hps for a month. do you think they would be root bound after being in a 3 gallon pot for 4-5 months? cause that has been my only worrie.
this is the same stain as the smaller one but i flowered indoors.

3 gallons = too small. get a 30 gallon rubber maid tub, drill some holes in the bottom, add a 1 - 2 inch layer of hydroton at the bottom, and fill with soil and plant
thats what im doing this week. im about to buy a huge white widow mother, pictures coming soon

30 gal pot is overkill. You need about a gal of pot space per month of growth.

if you need a gallon of container space per month it is going to be in that pot, will having been in that 3 gallon for roughly 4 months stunt it terribly? do you think it would be better to just get new clones i dont want them to be stunted? they are in the ground now.

Too much? I'm not sure there is such thing! The more room for the roots, the better. Also, as EthnoGuy mentioned 30gal pot is unnecissary and 'overkill', however it won't hurt anything except your wallet.

You'll be fine if you put her in the ground, they probably weren't rootbound yet. They are right though that the more rootspace, the faster the plant is going to grow, and potentially be massive, which your's will probably be. That thing is going to be a monster... The last time I vegged a plant that long indoors before moving out, it was 8 ft when it started to flower... Damn christmas trees!
