Hey guys, I'm new to growing weed but I am pretty experienced growing vegetables and I immediately recognised calcium deficiency on one of my plants. Sorry, no picture because my camera just crapped out.
Basically the terminal leaves and all new growth is stunted and the newest leaves are curled. There is also a blotch on one of the leaves that is a dead give away for this prognosis.
My question is now, how can I deliver calcium to this plant in need? I know you can go to a nursery and get lime or oyster shells or something along those lines but I'm kind of a DIYer and want to see if I can take care of this in house.
Do you think crushed eggshells would do the trick?
The problem with calcium is that it is unavailable to plants in most of its forms. The only quick way to do it would be hydrated lime. Eggshells and oyster shells are great if you incorporate them into your soil when you make it but they are no good as an additive fertilizer. There are some great supplements out there as well, I use cal-mag for my calcium deficiencies.
