i was wondering if anyone has ever tried using these lights for vegging. i know they are typically used for salt water aquariums, and coral reef tanks, but i was wondering if there were any benefits of using these bulbs for vegging.

They are really blue and don't really improve growth, I did a side by side a few years ago and the aquarium bulb didn't really do shit compared to my MH.

when you say aquarium bulb, do u mean a metal halide designed for saltwater reef tanks?

if its a H.I.D MH it will work for vegging....
