how ya doing..new here to boards and cultivation..did a small project before but had to throw away n e ways I wanted to start a new one again but just for ONE plant to begin with..I've already read many sources to start off the germinating stage.. I currently got some of Miracle Gro plant soil(21/7/14) and a grow space of about 3 ft by 3 ft. Just simple . Thanks much

Germ at least 10 seeds in Jiffy Cubes or Rockwool. Wait till they show sex and keep the strongest female. Just germing 1 seed is not a good idea.
That space is large enough for several plants. I can grow 24 plants in a similar sized space btw. I flower once they are around 10 inches. I end up with 2ft plants. Just something for you to consider.
And don't use that MG soil. The MG organic line is much better. You can control the nutes more. I avoid any soil that says it will fert for 90 days.

Ok sounds good..I planted them on Friday and have kept on with continous lighting(24), have watered from bottom of soil..also I'm using a regilar 100watt house bulb.. LOl ..
I'm thinking of a lght I'll need but want one that'll b just right not too much for just about 1-3 plants.. Also I'm looking into getting some seeds from a bank..and suggestions on which aid b good to start off with..and some site with feedback and will s/h to Midwest, us..?

Uhh, your plants are going to die if you are using incandescent house bulbs. At the very least get T5s or CFL's. A 400W HPS is your best option.

Ok today I went out and baught a 100w cfl and some bone meal(mg-organics)

a 100watt CFL or a 100watt equavilent CFL?
went implies that a store sold it.. either you are very lucky to have a store that sells CFL's that powerful, or you got the equavilent which totally suck.
I've only been able to find 45Watt (2900 lumens) CFLs.. they grow N. Rustica pretty well though.

I was talking along the lines of a Hydrofarm Reflector and a 125 or 200W CFL. The equivalent bulbs work. It just takes a lot of them. Really, its cheaper going the Hydrofarm route.

Well I got one of the 100w equiv. Lite that u get to save dough on bills..idk what they are called what if I naught another one for 200w equiv total?

Nah man a CFL grow light.
There is nothing equivalent about this light. It uses 200W of actual power. If you can screw the bulb into the lamp on your nightstand, its probably not efficient enough at growing plants.

Ok ok well I've been shopping around and seen a 500 halogen work light..any good? And I got my germ process going and now am only missing my light.. Again I'll b using like a 3*3 grow box. I got timer. Can anyone recommend any fixtures to buy online? Thanks..O yea I'm using the green house effect and put them in the soil yaaterday with plastic over it and made holes at bottom of cup. I also put the cups in a container with water in it. Been leavin. Out by window all day. 7am-7pm cpntinouse sun. Any advise.

Halogen won't work either. Ya gotta have HPS, MH, or CFL. LEDs work to, but not worth the cost and not effective enough IMO. Google "Grow Light". You'll find something.
