Hey everyone, So ive been lurking the growery and other sites for several months, and this will be my first grow. Basically i was wanting to know if roughly 5k lumens can sustain 1-2 auto flowering plants, in a 2' (height)x 1'6" (width) and 1' (depth) space. Yield is of lesser concern for me right now, i just want the growing exp. Also if anyone has stealth growing experience, would a 400W hps light pose any overheating problems. I am using two computer fans, that move 36 cubic feet a minute, (if that helps ). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated cheers

i am on my first grow too. My advice might not be expert by any means, but I am using a 430w son argo in a space that is only 3'4" tall. As long as your light is air cooled, you can get fairly close. Mine is about 14" above my Scrog screen and for the first couple of days, the plant was unhappy, but after a few days to get use to it, it perked up and is loving it. From what ive read, you dont want to get any closer than 8", no mater how cool your light is running. Post some pics when you get it going, wanted to see a dwarf grow in progress. My sig has the link to my grow if you feel like checking.
