 know where to get take root powder (for cloning) and peat pellets?

I was at Wal-Mart today and decided to see what kind of things I might would need and the answer was pretty much nothing. Would I have more success finding those things at Lowe's or what do you guys think?
Also from what i could tell the potting soil there wasns't at all whatI had heard to use here. Would the cactus miracle grow stuff from there work? It just said it drains well and is airy I'm pretty sure is the difference.
Or any old potting soil for a first grow? I've read and read and just am not getting it completely. At least not being able to get a match on what to get and where to get it.

If your a Wal-Mart shopper Black Gold Potting Soil seens to be the way to go.
A root take powder is sold at Lowes.
I personally don't like it.
I prefer Clone-X gel works better for me.
Don't use any kind of Mircle Grow it doesn't do well at all.
