I just watched some youtube video's where they were keeping mother plants and cloning plants to bud, how much space does everyone think one would need to do this type of growing?
They were also spraying down there plants with carbonated water which i thought was a good idea.

depends on how many mothers / how many clones, and the size of each. what kind of system are you planning to run?

I think all you would really need is a nice fluorescent fixture. If you properly care for your mother, it won't take up a lot of space, and you could keep it on one side, with enough room on the other side for vegetating the clones while they root, and for a few weeks of vegetation, if you were going to give them time to do that. Of course, its really a question of how many clones you were planning on taking on a regular basis - a lot of clones would require more fluorescent space for them, and possibly more room for a bigger mother.
Here's what you need to read for keeping mothers: Bonsai Moms

Well, you don't need to worry about growing out everything you prune from the mother.

i have a mother in a 1 gallon pot of dirt, and root my clones into rockwool for my ebb and flow system. with that kind of setup, you need probably 24" height for the mother plant and maybe 12" diameter (depends on the plant though) and if you're rooting into 1" rockwool cubes they are onnly 1" lol
