    #529385 - 02/21/11 04:03 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

for you indoor growers that have been going for years ,i am wondering how long can one go taking clones off of a cloned mother for? when would the cuttings start to loose there vigor ? whats the average time i should say considering different strains may last longer then others ,ball park estimate ?

Since your typical "clones" aren't actual "clones" so much as "cuttings", theres not supposed to be any genetic change from the first clone you cut from the original mother.

AFAIK, you can clone forever, indefinitely.

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

you lost me with the first sentence there ! are you saying that i can grow a mother and when the mother out grows the space take a cutting from that mother and keep the new mother going until its out growen the space and so on,so with this process the cuttings wont lose any vigor over time?

In theory, yes. I'm not sure about the vigor though. I think so long as you allow a long enough recovery veg period, clones should always be able to taken.

And yeah, you got what I meant completely

Edit: Good thread on it -
