Calibrate said: amanita muscaria can only grow next to certain types of "host" plants. i believe the firn is one of them...i dont know that much about it.
but i do know that someone should do an experiment with marijuana and amanita muscaria. because if it were possible......think of the possibilities.
As an Amanita hunter I gotta say: indeed.
Pine & birch are the host trees I hunt for in my area. Not sure the details on the mychorzzial relationship, pretty sure that's still a mystery to the mycology community.
I have tried to "re-plant" amanita and bolete stems under the appropriate host trees, but have never has success.

That'd be awesome, I've never seen any mychorizzial relationships involving ganjo.
And yeah, I've tried tons of outdoor re-planting of amanita/bolete material. No success at all, seems like something that can't be forced until we know more about the genetic shit involved.
I've been tempted to try an experiment this year though. I'm going to take a cutting from a tree with amanitas under it, plant it and bonsai it. Also going to take some of the amanita and attempt to get it to grow along with the bonsai.
Maybe within a few years it'll work. If not, I'll have a bonsai regardless.
