Currently cooking 4 pounds of cannabutter, with 1/2 pound of cannabis thrown in for fun.
check mah journal entry for more infoz
necessary grinder.
gnarly concoction, but after straining and refrigeration, it will be green butter.

Yes, lots and lots of seeds, I cook everything, the stems and all. It all gets strained so why not?

IM not knocking your method but maybe someday try using a crock pot/slow cooker and slow cooking it for 24 hours.
Makes a mean green butter.
I like to make grilled ham egg and cheese canna-sandwiches.
They are nice and tasty and pack one serious ass punch.

I want to try the 22-24 hours slow cook one day, but I just can't do that at the moment. A crock pot would do that job great, though.

About 7 hours into the extraction, looking yummy huh
 
This is a tupperware container rigged with cheesecloth ready for straining.
Straining in progress. Bundle this into a ball and squeeze it hard, to minimize waste.
Ready for the fridge
Butter tubs, after the butter is fully congealed and separated, i will consolidate it all into one container and throw out the water.
Notice the top tub turning a lime green already. looks good so far
a half pound ready for the dumpster

This is the cannabutter after it's overnight stay in the fridge. Just need to separate the nasty water and clean the butter off a little and it's ready for cookin'
For easy storage, I'm gonna keep it all together:

There are lots of different ways to extract thc from cannabis to cook with. I used the cannabutter this time because I mainly want to make baked goods, which almost always call for butter. You can also use cannabutter in almost any recipe that calls for butter.
I will report on potency later.
