OK so i want to make my first cannabutter ive been looking for instructions and found some good ones but im not to sure on weed to butter ratio, Im from australia so we use grams not ounces and pounds so if someone in aus could tell me there ratio or recipe it would be greatly appreciated.
also is making cannabutter more expensive then just smoking the weed

use 7 grams of chronic or an ounce of shake for about 113 grams (1/4 lb or one "stick) of butter.

Low and slow. Though I'm sure just boiling the piss out of it works pretty well too.
Basic idea: Place trim/weed/what-have-you in a large vessel, cover with water, add desired amount of butter and bring to a simmer then back off the heat a bit for an hour or two, strain, refrigerate overnight and pick the solidified butter off the top.

I've done the water/butter boil method a few times, and while it definitely works, the added step of separating the butter from the water is a bit of a pain. A much better way is to just get a crock pot for $50 at your local department store. Throw in your butter and weed, set it on warm and let it jive for two days. Stir occasionally, especially when you first start. Strain and you're good to go.

Not sure about the ratio of vape duff to butter. I like cheese cloth for straining.

my questions is what do you if you'r butter dosnt hardened when you stick in fridge for few hrs, what do you do? i took it out and realized i used way to much water but there is still a little product floating on the top. but its mostly a watery substance and not hard like most videos show. so i took it and strained most the water just by pouring it out into milk jugs and tryn not to let most of the product go into the jugs. then i pured the product into a smaller countainer with much less water bout a finger nails depth. and im thinken bout simmering the water in ther jugs in a pan for a lil while and doin the proces over becasue i know i used much more butter then what im coming out with. can someone please pst and help me out in here i am in dire need it would be greatly appreciated. thanks ~purpin~

Patience grasshopper. 
If you're going to use the water method you need to let it sit in the fridge overnight (at least 12 hours) to separate and harden.
