 Made cannabutter/cookies for the first time...

So I made some cannabutter for the first time out of the leaves of three medium sized plants a couple days ago. I didn't weigh the leaves, but figured since leaves only contain about 10% THC compared to bud that I just needed a lot. Im going to guess it was around 10-15 oz of fresh leaves but that could be way off.
Anyway I boiled the leaves for 3 hours with water and a pound of butter. Yesterday morning I pulled the green butter floating on the top and dumped the rest of the liquid. I was pretty disappointed to see I only had a little over a half pound of butter left...guess the remaining butter never separated from the water and went down the drain with it. 
Bought a package of this
which called for a half pound of butter.
Ate one 2 inch cookie (couldn't taste weed at all), and only felt a head change after 30 minutes so I ate another. About an hour later...ho-lee-shit. I was beyond baked for a good 8 hours +. It lasted so long yesterday evening that it was getting annoying and I wanted to come down. Guess I shouldn't have eaten that 2nd cookie...and I should have weighed the leaves.

Ah, the edibles 
Their slow onset has lead many people to ingest far more than they were expecting--once it does kick in.
Once you figure out the potency of a particular batch, you may find that edibles are truly THEE Shit! It's a bone deep, creative euphoria that stays with you all day. It can be great for work if you don't eat too much.
My last batch had 21 grams of trim and I made 21 cookies from it. They were potent enough that my friend (who has been smoking solidly for 20 years) thought they were just perfect. Me on the other hand...had 1/4 cookie or less and was stoned from 10AM to about 6PM. So yes, definitely weigh your trim and I'd say don't go over an ounce per two-dozen of cookies or your batch will smell like bud--which isn't very stealthy if you plan on eating them at work or transporting them.
Speaking of edibles, I have a bunch more trim/sugar leaves waiting to be made into cookies and passed out to all my friends and coworkers 
*Someone could probably correct me on this, but the other half pound of butter that went missing was mostly moisture anyway. What you received in the end was clarified butter. Butter that has little to no whey/moisture and mostly fat*

s I made my very frst batch of cannabutter. brownies omg they were awesome . i have learned alot from you tube tutorials and forums like this one..instead of porn its weed porn blog..excitement of marri juana
