Sprouting two seeds together
    #861625 - 12/01/23 07:06 PM (10 months, 24 days ago)

Sprouting two seeds together In the same cup will cause ‘male plant’ versus ‘female plant’ ? Is this true? I want to produce seeds! I read info that it’s a 65:35 ratio between female & male?

Planting two seeds one cup is a bad idea.  Sometimes you'll get lucky and they'll grow.  But often one plant will have a stronger root system and ends up kill or slow growth of the other plant.

I don't see why you just don't use different pots.  The F to M rates are still the same.  Natures choice.

I was intent on growing 2 seeds together in 1 cup to sex them as male and female.

You can try that if you want, but it won't change the sex of the seeds.

If you're making seeds, it's better to put the females into flower a few weeks earlier to allow time for more pistils to be produced before the males nut all over them, so it's better to have them separated anyways.
