ok i dont know much about growing, im new to this whole thing. I wonderet if feminized seeds are guaranteed females or just more likely to be females. I have 5 plants growing, 6 days old, of the type lowryder#2 feminized. I was thinking perfect for first grow, they flower automaticly and turns females automaticly.. or?

There genetic coding is female, like they can turn out as hermaphrodites but I will bet you a 90% chance if you don't stress them that they will all be female. They are pretty weak shit though.

It's a lot more than 90% if you don't stress them.
I think Magash has something like 97 or 99% successful female rate

Yea magash I think also made his own strain if I aint mistaken.So he knows the exact conditions his plants grow best in.

Magash has done multiple fully fem seeds so im sure his numbers are accurate. Let's just hope he chimes in.

Well it depends on the method used. Soma I know his method is full of flaws cause he tries to do it naturally and it's not a natural thing for the plant. Now female seeds, Greenhouse Seeds, Sensi Seeds and a few others are doing STS treatments and have a very high success rate.
Myself I use the STS treatments also on stress tested plants. I stress the plants or cutting off of them that is to see what it take to stress them into going hermie. A plant that is easy to stress into going hermie I don't use. One that I can't get to show male flowers is used.
The plant that is less likely to go hermie from all the stress I give it is less likely to give hermie pollen or seeds when stressed by the STS treatments.
One of the new thing I like doing is crossing strains doing all female plants. Like in Cali there are a ton of female only or clone only strains around. One that is making the round in the San Fran clubs is a cross of Trainwreck and Purple kush I did and is getting popular.

Well I hope ya did really try it and like it. I used a Purple Kush from Coffee Shop Bluesky which use to be called the SR-71. In the big book of buds volume 3 look up purple kush and it list the club as the place to get it and not the breeder. The other plant was a Arcada Trainwreck that has been popular in Cali for some time.

Neat info^. I bought 7 GDP seeds from a random guy in CA and I grew them out and topped one of the plants. It grew it's two tops but it showed male balls really quick after i switched to 12/12. All the others are female, and I was under the impression that this was a clone only strain that was forced into hermi state so it could pollinate it's own flowers as i understand that's a basic way to get feminized seeds. Anyway, I am also under the impression that i stressed this one plant out too much by topping it causing it to go male on me.  Any input on that shit?

well, you technically can't change the sex of a plant. You can produce a plant with hermi pollen sacs, but if it was a female to begin with it's still a female.
