Selective pollination

I have some pollen with which I would like to pollinate one branch of a plant that is outdoors. I want to cover the plant in plastic except for the branch that will be pollinated. Rub pollen on buds then rinsing the whole plant after to prevent further pollination.

How long should i wait after rubbing the pollen on the buds before safely rinsing everything with water?

Get a small paintbrush, keep everything dry as possible. Put paintbrush in bag with pollen paint nugs you want seeded and label.
