i have had some help from a friend to get up and running with my own grow room, he lent me some money and gave me some unused gear. one of the things he gave me was an exhaust fan. the fan is extremely loud and is a danger to my crops. i have tried all the usual things of proper suspension and wrapping in blankets etc, but it is just too loud.
in about 2 weeks i will be able to buy another one. it is the same one my friend has, so i know it is quiet, but i have to wait a couple of weeks to get it.
i would like to start my grow now and get a head start so i am looking for advice on doing that. the fan i have right now can do 144CFM, but my requirements are only 15.5CFM, so i am wondering if i can run the fan for 10% of the day, following a schedule such as 24mins (call it 30) every 4 hours while the plants are awake?
i am still not 100% sure if this is what i want to do, but it would be good to get more opinions on this before i go ahead.
could be important to note that my seeds are autos.
thank you all for the help
