That kind LED is way overpriced and designed poorly. When one diode breaks the whole fixture starts to suck. Modular lighting is the way to get into these fixtures today. putting them all together like that is 2011 technology.

The guy just released the dry totals from both lights.
It seems rather balanced but LED lights will pay for themselves in power savings if they last longer then seven years. 400 watts per 12 hours is 4.8 KW at 14 cents per watt that is 67 cents your saving per day or 244.55 per year of use. Note the american average 14 cents and in Canada its 12 cents.
Personally I'm sold on the Vero Series from Bridgelux 160 lm per watt but have not decided on who to buy from. 80000 hour life or 18 years at 12 hours per day before it loses 30 percent of light is very impressive and cost effective. Might pick a 400 watt unit up for a summer run.

Why the cobs? that price is a bit nuts compared to a QB.. i believe a 500w QB which will also have a much bigger footprint you can have for under 500 now..

Because those cob LED produce 160 lumens per watt and their light spectrum is made for plant growth rather then wasting light in a full spectrum that plants don't use. Where as QB use Samsung full spectrum led lights for indoor lighting rather then plant growth.
Be careful when buying LED lights some only produce 60 lumens per watt.

Opinions on the best LED light are like assholes everyone has one. And because of the profit there are a lots of lies and misleading information and crap being sold.
Yet another case where more is not necessarily better.
Full spectrum LED lights produce light in spectrum that plants don't use and produce less bud even with more lumens.

I'm just gonna remind everybody that lums are meaning less when it comes to plants. PAR is what is important.
