100w LED or 250w HPS/MH?

For a 2.5ft x 2.5ft x 5ft. space, only 1 or 2 plants, possibly LST or SCRoG, which would be best?
100w LED with around 100-150w of supplemented CFL for side/bottom lighting
or
250w HPS/MH with possibly ~100w extra CFL if needed for side/bottom lighting

Well are you going to be able to provide all the ventilation and what not that's needed for HID?
But in any case, that's the route I would go.

I've got an unbelievable amount of box, oscillating, and mini fans laying around.
Exhaust fan directly over grow area leading straight outside, and a window unit ac to cool things down if need be.
Plan on getting a digital ballast, have heard that they help with heat, but correct me if I'm wrong.
What kind of temperatures should I expect to be dealing with, using a 250w HID w/digital ballast?

Oh with all that you should be able to keep in a 77 range with no problems. Go with the HID. You won't be disappointed

Thanks!
And one last question, will I have enough light?
One thing that has always kept me from attempting an indoor grow is knowing that I wouldn't be able to provide enough light, maybe enough to get something grown, but not enough for even close to optimal results.
Now that I've got an extra dollar to spare, I'd like to be sure I have PLENTY! I think I'd be good to go for a single plant, but could I get 2 under the light and still not suffer from lack of light?
And again, thanks!

One plant in that 2.5x2.5 space will do ya just fine, given you make sure everything else it kosher.
