Cloning 101

So you have your mother plant or perhaps a buddy has given you some cuttings and now you need to clone.
Cloning cannabis is easy once you know the procedure.
The time to take a clone is right before a night cycle, to keep the plants natural rhythm. The clone should be cut with six nodes above the cut. Cut off the bottom two branches then re-cut the bottom then right before you put it into water. The second cut ensures that an air bubble does not have time to form in the stem this is what causes wilting.
Once cut and in water they should be left for the normal six hours of darkness to allow soft tissue to block the stem this will prevent wilting when transferred to the substrate. At this point your should have your substrate prepared for the clones. Take them out of the water and put rooting hormones on the stem and two nodes that that will be under the substrate then place in substrate.
Transfer to a tote or other container that you can cover with clear plastic place the plants into the container and mist them and the container completely. Keep them wet until day three then spray the plants only if they start to wilt.
At day ten transfer them to your garden but at a very low light level for the first two weeks. In this case its a simple flood and drain system for the first two weeks. Then off to the main garden.
Feel free to ask questions.

Could you add a picture of where you cut your clones off the mother plant? Also in the past I've seem people cut some of their clones fan leaves "to promote healthy new growth" and I notice you didn't do that..any specific reason for that? not sure if what I was reading was outdated information -New at this-

Sorry but I did not take any pictures of the mother.
The reason I don't cut any fan leaves is in my experience it slows rooting. Most people remove the lowest leaves because they turn yellow and die over time but as long as there is some green chlorophyll left the plant will recycle it to new leaves. Once the leaf has turned brown and dried up is when I remove them.
Its a steep learning curve but fun as hell as a hobby and really rewarding in what it gives back.

I dont cut fans because they might die anyways or yellow, depends on tech. my gannie strains love the jell and root really fast, but gsc is a dick with the same jell. roots slow and weak stemmed , very weird.
soil rooting my gannies they took off in a few days ,la confidential not so much in the same soil.

So it's seems to be a definite no-go on cutting the fan leaves after cloning..also what type of rooting stimulant do you guys use? I've seen powders, jells, oils, all sorts of different products, any insight as to which one works best?
