The maximum amount of time rockwool should be watered for is 10 minutes.

When watering only the bottom third of the cube should be submerged any more and you will get root and stem rot.

Young plants need only two watering a day. Older plants can use more but rockwool does need to dry out a little between watering to give the roots the air they need so always leave two hours between watering.

Its very important that rockwool drains completely any standing water will be soaked up by the rockwool and it will stay too wet causing root rot.


Rockwool is like a sponge even it just the corner is sitting in water it will suck it all up.


Even if your using a drip non recovery system with rockwool you still have to make sure your slab is on an angle to ensure it drains completely.


Weed is tough dude there is a good chance you have not done any major damage and the plant should recover. Remember roots need to breath so never leave rockwool sitting in water. Hope this helps best of luck.
