I have vivosun tent it's cheap but works, the zipper leaks a little light out but from inside it's dark. Most of the cheap stuff is cheap and good stuff cost more so work within your budget. What kind of leds are you planning on running?

whatever you can afford really. a 100w would work but you couldn't use the whole tent. I think a 600w LED would do well. It depends what your requirements are honestly.

600 true watts in a 4x4 would be killer, maybe even overkill. You'd still need decent airflow and canopy management for best results. Be wary of cheaper LED's, they have models called "600w" that don't even break 200 watts. You are better off building your own or buying from reputable sellers.

This would be plenty for a 4x4, as you can see it's not cheap. That's why the DIY community is thriving.

Them only having it available in 80 cri is the only thing I didn't like and earlier this year they were never in stock long. I prefer the deeper red peaks 630-640nm of the 90 cri over 600 red peak of the 80 cri chips.
Luminous, citizen, and Vero have a very good line up of chips that work great for our purpose, diy is the only way to go if your on a budget. And Cree chips are over priced for what they do.

If that's the light your looking at then have no fear it's a bad ass light for sure, there are tons of people on riu with that light and it rocks. From what I've been hearing they have new boards in the works with added 660nm reds and uv. Not sure when those are coming out tho but I'm planning on grabbing a couple to try out for sure. If your handy with your hands you could build a rig for about 600 bucks that would be just as powerful. Good luck and post pics if you get it.

Not sure if you know but that light only draws 269 watts. In the description it states flower coverage is 2.5x2.5 a bit shy of the 4x4 tent you have. the small diodes are about as efficient as floro bulbs . It's going to be hard to light a 4x4 for $200. The led rig in one of my 2x4 tents cost 400 bucks and it's diy. That light will grow but it may not put out the yield your expecting from it. You may be better off with a 600w hps, it will be in your budget and will yield good.

i figure I'm going to have to spend some money on a light atleast to produce a good product and cover the area. Also i like the idea of using less energy and like that the L.E.D.s are cool and the whole light /color spectrum just looks badass. Do you have any grows going Funky? Cheers -TheLostBoys

I never stop growing, I don't do grow logs cause my grow is perpetual. I post a few pics in the picture section when I get a new strain. but most of the time the tents are so packed that you can't tell what's what anyway. I have a purple ace of spades I need to try and get pics of here soon waiting on her color to come in first. Her main branch is frosty
With The small diode panels you need to make sure your canopy is even cause light levels will fall off fast the farther away the plant is. So training under a scrog net is a must you want just canopy nothing under it. Anything under the canopy will be very thin and small.
