It sounds like this issue is different from your initial issue.
There is nothing wrong with the new growth, so it looks mobile, and does seem to fit the description of nitrogen deficiency.
Epsom salts add Mg and Sulfur to the soil. Since the soil has gone 7-8 weeks without any feeding, it's close to running low on its own supplies. My guess is that it has something to do with a sudden increase in either Mg or sulfur that is throwing off absorption of a mobile nutrient (or just boosting metabolic rates of the plant right when you are running low on notes in the soil).
I would suggest trying to feed with a light but broad spectrum Nute solution that would be appropriate for mid-flower. Make sure to include you micronutrients as well (a messed up mg/ca ratio can fudge up absorption of Zn and Fe). It may also be prudent to lightly flush the soil prior to feeding, to remove any salts that may be causing any hidden problems.
Somebody please correct me if I'm giving out bad info, this is based more on research than actual experience.
