Mars Hydro 300? EXTREMELY SLOW GROWTH...-_- fuck

So I got a mars hydro 300, fox farms, and a small fan on these plants in a small grow tent. Plenty of air flow, and watering only when the soil is very dry
So far, 15 days after they popped up they are barely moving. Just one of them is doing OK
I keep reading and seeing videos of people using this grow light with massive results, but my damn plants just won't fucking grow under it
DO i need to get an expensive LED light to get them going?
It's starting to piss me off!!
And the light is about 1.5 feet away on 18/6. I'm seriously considering either getting a 2nd identical light, or just going with a 400w HPS
Advice? The only thing I can think of that may be slowing them is the temperature, which reads around 79 most of the time, and 29 to 35% humidity
I live in a cold state, and my house stays about 69 degrees most of the time

The slow growth is probably because your light is too Far away
If that led us one if those cheap ones from eBay/amazon that yes you're better off getting a hps. Or better yet those top notch $400+ LED.

They're 15 days old. How big do you expect them to be??? I mean really they're just starting to feed on nutes at this point.

3/4 of them have barely grown since they popped. First set of leaves only. Again, I've seen other people with similar setups with 1 300w LED and the plants are at least 3x as big.
Maybe I'm just being impatient. They are autoflower feminized seeds from a top seller
Another week at this rate and I'm just gona order an expensive 600w LED I guess

They should be able to grow at only 14 or so inches away. I don't see they needing the light to be right on top of the canopy
here is a link to the light

And a link to a guy who grew under said light

Not a total loss though. I'm sure that LED will serve great for cuttings.

LOL Not really. It can barely get seedlings to grow. I have no idea how ppl are posting vids of them getting huge plants with it. *shrug*
I put some OG kush in a cup under this light, and it took them over a month to get their 3rd set of leaves. They are barely 5 inches tall
I think i planted them around April 12th

Try raising the light a few inches. Three to four should be enough If this doesn't help, then I recommend looking at other areas of the environment before sending more money. Also remember genetics are a bitch and all plants aren't created equal.

You should be able to pop seeds with a basic CFL bulb. If they're stalled its probably your soil, or if anything, too damn close at 18".
While I don't like Mars Hydro at all because they're kinda crappy it shouldn't be so weak that the plants don't grow. I keep one or two 100w LED lights about 2-3' away to keep clones alive/vegging slowly, but they're still growing. Try backing off to about 3' away.
How many times have you 'watered' it when needed? Should have been 0 times by now.
Can we get some photos?

Yeah. They have no problem popping, but after that they do next to nothing for weeks. I don't want to wait months to get into flower, so I just went ahead and got the 400w HPS.
The soil is ocean forest fox farms, so there's no issues there.
I don't water unless the soil is extremely dry. I will wait until they let me know they need water with drooping leaves

The only time I've had that problem is when the soil is too compact and the roots can't grow properly.
Your soil actually looks dry, did you saturate the soil before you put them in there? If you did you shouldn't be that dry and will not have needed to water at all by now.

No, I didn't think to. I mean i watered the soil, but didn't saturate it. What should I do, just give them a ton of water? The tops are always dried out, but when i stick a meter in it it always comes up as 6 or so on the scale out of 10, so the soil underneath is pretty wet

They have that bonsai look, which is usually from under-developed roots. Its hard to tell in the photos, but do the leaves on the plants in the solo cups have striped leaves? or is that just the light reflecting?
If you set the white balance on your camera you can get a natural colored photo. Phone's usually don't have that feature.

No. The solo cup leaves look incredibly healthy. Very dark and perky, despite being insanely slow
I did transplant them into fox farms a couple weeks ago. Perhaps that would explain some of the slow growth? Not sure
Had to do it cuz I was using some cheap walmart shit that was burning the hell out of the leaves
I'm just hoping my girls will start growing normally once i get rid of this LED and switch it out with the 400w HPS tomorrow afternoon. Also got fox farms trio that I'll be doing half strength with on the other seedlings after they get to around a month old

I've seen people flower with those, it makes no sense why it couldn't veg properly. Granted its not the best flower light, but some people use them.
But I do agree, fuck Mars Hydro...
Which Mars did you get? can you post a photo of the fixture? There are a few different designs out there.
