What about the idea of using grated bud in spaghetti sauce? Some say the sauce won't get hot enough to activate the THC, but I dunno. I think the flavor would definitely compliment the sauce.
What do you think?

Sounds yummy. You don't need heat if your eating it. Check out the book "Cooking With Cannabis".

They said you need either heat or some kind of lipids to activate the THC. My only real experience with weed is smoking, so I don't know too much about swallowing it.

I've made rasta-pasta, but never by putting the weed straight into the spaghetti sauce. I think that weed flavor is a good culinary compliment in the sauce, but I don't think it's the most effective way to get high. What I did was I made a batch of weed butter (using as little butter per weed as I could), stirred it into the noodles until they were all covered, then I added spaghetti sauce. A couple hours later it was hard to keep my eyes open.

Yeah, allowing the noodles to absorb much of the butter would probably be most effective.

Don't forget about pot pizza! Placed in between the sauce/cheese layer and you'll have a wonderful treat.

i made some pasta sauce with a small ammount of herb cooked in while I was simmering the sauce with the meat. My brother and I didnt feel it but, but my dad got high because he took a large serving and has no THC tolerance.

if you make your marinara sauce from scratch and add the herb early on while the sauce is cooking, the necessary temperature would be achieved.
edit: most marinara calls for olive oil, this is the lipid necessary to extract thc.

The most effective way to do this, though, is to make a batch of cannabutter as sativus mentioned, and use the butter in your marinara sauce, or alfredo, or whatever. Butter is used in all kinds of pasta sauces. fun shit.
also, i dont think the noodles would absorb any thc.

No? At least, it will still be in the sauce. I hope it doesn't all evaporate into the air.

It will if you start burning the oil. medium-high is the safe zone.

No respectable place uses electrical stoves or microwaves. That's fast-food territory you're talking about.

Haha, yep. I love my gas range.
I did work in one restaurant that used electric stoves, but it was on of the worst kitchens I've ever seen, so it doesn't count.
On topic, I've made a couple of different pot pastas that have worked out pretty well. I didn't feel the effects super strongly (but that probably also had something to do with my high tolerance at the time) but it was a really pleasant high. I did the marinara technique (cook it with the olive oil; I added it with my other spices after the onions were cooked and the garlic was mostly cooked, but before the tomato etc) and another really basic lemon/garlic/olive oil mixture.
...whoa. Is it just me or is the word 'mixture' REALLY FUCKING WEIRD?
