It's the size of Texas, cold as fuck, but thought to have an ocean of water under its icy mantle, possibly with even more water than Earth. Pretty cool, right?
I wonder when they'll start manned missions, i would totally try to go!

A couple of giant heaters would warm that bad boy up.
Wait... What if its an iced prison which holds a space crazed killer? What if the heaters that one guy suggested unleashes this creature?

That sounds like a badass movie plot.
X-Files kinda did it when they drilled up that ancient ice and were dying from that black space goo or whatever.
I love space man. It gets me excited to hear about colonization. I'll never get the chance. I don't think "average joe" is enough to get me on the top of the colonization list.
And I'd sneak some fuckin' seeds up there Not even tell 'em until whoops, the whole planet is covered in wild cannabis
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

Too bad the travel time to a lot of these planets far surpasses a human lifetime. That's always bummed me out- being born too late to explore earth and too early to explore the stars.

Perfect application, perfect timing 10/10
edit: I will have to say that the kind of dangers, disease, and death, commonplace in that era (esp as far as exploration is concerned) would probably fuck up my world had I been alive then. I can see that not meeting my expectations. As for exploring the stars, that might be neat. Until I'm just stuck in a small box for months on end.

Just imagine... an alien world of comparatively shorter evolutionary history. Land plants have only been around a few hundred million years. Vascular and seeded flora has just emerged. Angiosperms have yet to be seen (flowering plants). Soils have, however, been developed nicely by favorable geological conditions. Suddenly, extra terrestrial travelers appear! One of them has in their pocket the equivalent of a genetic nuclear bomb. A highly developed and complex angiosperm, a photosynthetic powerhouse, Cannabis sativa! He drops a few among the rudimentary flora. The cannabis takes quickly, and within a few years the lack of competitors or predators has resulted in a population explosion! Eventually the entire world is a "sea of green".
