i dont know anything of that brand .. but the tent that i do own i bought from http://www.gothamhydroponics.com/growtents.html the price for there tents are really good sense there tent material is about 2-3 times thicker then most stuff on the market its a 900d thickness ...were most are in the 300-600d. and the tent frame is very sturdy. i have 2 vented hoods and 2 inline fans all hooked up to the roof on the inside of the tent of a 6.5x6.5x6.5 foot .

Thanks for the info I'll check that tent out.
I'm having issues with the exhaust system. I read I need a ~200cfm exhaust fan for size of the tent, so I found 240cfm, but the only carbon filters I can find are 440cfm (they come with a fan as part of the combo's), and from my understanding the exhaust fan has to have greater/equal to CFM of carbon filter. Is having too 'high' of a CFM bad if the space doesn't require it? Would a speed controller for the exhaust fan fix this [Speed Controller] Am I overthinking this?

Yes a fan speed controller is a good idea. There are ones that are cheaper than the $26 one you linked. I bought one for $20 off of amazon. Having too much exhaust isn't a huge deal but the controller will help you with that. That 240CFM booster fan you linked might not be enough to pull through a carbon filter. I own 2 of the same fans, they're quite loud but nothing a little insulation or the controller won't fix.
If I were you, I wouldn't take the chance with the booster fan. Just get an inline.
http://m.ebay.com/itm/181153049913?nav=SEARCH&varId=480242763026 ^^^^ $90 and would take care of your smell and ventilation.
Good idea on deciding on the HPS/mH combo. Low-baller on ebay is a good vendor like someone has already linked you. I'd advise against the appollo bulbs, the reviews are terrible and they seem cheap. Try to buy the 400w ballast and hood combo but with no bulbs from low-baller and buy bulbs seperately.
