how to feed seedlings

Well, I want to give my seedlings some light nutrients. I just can't splash any of the nutes onto my seedlings or it will burn them. So how do you water your seedlings without accidently splashing nutes on them?

I start my seedlings in solo cups after they pop. When they need it I slowly water/lightly feed them with a turkey baster. I grow in coco though, if you're growing in soil you shouldn't need to feed them until they've started to veg.

They're in coco.
I have such a high tap ppm that if I precharged the coco with anything more than cal-mag, the ppm woulda been like 650+. Im gonna buy some distilled water and add like 1/8th nutes to it.

you might want to buy an RO filter and avoid that straight tap water altogether. sounds like the PPM is way too high by itself. that can lead to lots o problems.

The water bottle sounds like a good idea honestly.

What about collecting rain water? I've just been waiting for a good shower. I'll easily be able to collect 20+ gallons. Last time I measured its pH was 6.8 and ppm ~170. This is a hell of a lot better than my tap water.

Yeah I had a feeling that'd be my best option. I'll have to look into it. Could you recommend any particular filter?

If you live in an area free of major air pollution rain water will work great. Make sure you keep your pH in the 5.8-6.2 range. Some people go lower in coco but my ladies seem to love 5.9-6.0.

I use well water out of my tap, ppm 300 in FF happy frog soil, just dont add as much nutes to keep ppm down. I feed using this though so ppm doesnt shoot up as long as you pay attention to your mix strength.
been working for me.

I have crappy tap water where I live and instead of buying a filter set up, or distilled water I use the 5 gallon jugs that you put on top of a water cooler and take them to the local convenient store where there is a machine with filtered water. I only have 2 caps so I have to make multiple trips, at least until I go to a brewery store and get some rubber corks
It costs 1$ for 5 gallons. Over time its more expensive than buying a filter set up but for now its a cheap way to get clean water. I use 20 gallons a week on my veg set up so that's only 4$, when I switch them to flowering I will be using 8$ worth of water a week without having a shitload of plastic jugs from distilled water

Damn...are you sure with the cost of the 750W of electric its using to produce the water its even worth it?
Ive been thinking of picking up one of these for only $50 more.
