Lighting upgrade!

My new XTE-100 just came in a little while ago so I thought I'd go ahead and take a look at it before I try to get it hung up later.
About 23%of it's output is white light and 7% percent blue. The LED's are driven at around 78% when turned all the way up, which is significantly higher than other lights.
20 Osram 660's and 6 Epistar reds? The other two I'm assuming are UV and infrared. (Probably the same ones that are used on the Diamond Series.) Around 63% of the unit's output is red. The rest goes to the UV and infrared (4-5%) and fans (2%) The 3 watt LED's are driven at about 80 percent when turned all the way up.
Those are just estimates, I could be wrong on those numbers but it seems pretty close.
edit: After looking a little more closely, it seems that the reds in the corners of each module are a different wavelength from the reds in the middle. I'll have to try and figure out what those are. Maybe the lights were messing with the camera or something.
I'm pretty sure those are Epistar 624nm LED's in the corners.
I'll be replacing a couple of aging Kessil lights with this, so I'll be giving my flower tent a nice upgrade while only adding 30 watts of draw to it.

Sweet I've been wanting to see the new lights in action.
Try putting a piece of paper over the diodes before taking a photo, then you'll be able to take a better diode color comparison photo.

The XML is great! The configuration of the LED's creates a cool effect that I haven't seen on other lights. I'll try to get a picture of it running by itself ...

sweet. If you set the white balance on your camera under the LED light you'll be able to take natural color photography.

So I couldn't really get the camera to capture the effect the way I see it, but I did play around some with the white balance once I figured it out. In person it looks almost like light being shined through stained glass on to the plants.

Nice, did you point the camera at a piece of white paper when you were setting the white balance? Looks good.

Ballin nice buds too homie. Yeah my LED, if I shut the door like 1inch and there's a dark room on the other side, it shines out the primary rainbow beams individually with thickness reliant on door gap size... odd & cool shit! That, and everything looks green when you return to white light...
Good work man

anytime it shines through a slit it will separate the different colors...

Ya, the first few days of having an LED you tend to see that sort of thing and your mind gets blown. It actually happens to the CFL's in the room too just not as obvious since its shades of white.

What I really like is that you can see the different spectrum of the same color--notice the darker and brighter red.

I just pointed it at the lights and pressed the "display" button. I guess it works because the casings are white.
Never seen the light-through-crack effect before, that's pretty cool.

Strangely enough magenta is made inside our heads, its the absence of green light, does not exist in reality. So its really strange that it makes you see green afterward, like your eyes are just LOOKING for green. I don't hardly notice it anymore unless I'm in there for a really long time.
try setting the white balance while looking at a sheet of white paper and see if that changes anything.
