Yea I mean I wouldn't worry too much about foliar feeding with silica, but I still worry the leaves will be more prone to overheat if a coating of silica is left behind versus the heat resistant effect it has penetrating the cells. Just a cautionary measure since my grow area has gotten over 100 degrees on hot days. Luckily it's been a strangely cool summer where I am.
I looked in my tent the other day, 101!, it was like 95+ outside and vegging strong. That only happens for a few days out of the summer, maybe 2-3 good heat waves for a week long and thats about it.

Damn. SO you don't use the Protekt everytime you water, just when you feed. Will shit. I will say though, there hasn't been any real negative affects. Its made all my plants extremely tough.
I feed damn near every time I water, just give them plain every once in awhile to keep it flushed.
