So how many of you opiate addicts started out with a pain management script from your doctor and fucked the rest of your life up with heroin?
Just curious. Because I'm probably gonna have to start taking some shit to deal with my shoulder, and I'd really rather not go down the slippery road of all that. I don't need it constantly, but I know the doctor is gonna just give me a bunch of pills and say "fuck it".

Ive never even seen heroin. I love me some opiates though, luckily I cant get my hands on them very often or I'd probably be in trouble.

Never been scribed painkillers in my life, even when I had a legit need for them.
IIRC you have experience with opiates and don't seem like as addict, so if you can handle not getting hooked after recreational use, as long as you don't abuse them and take as prescribed you should be fine. Oh, and as long as it's not long term, avoid long tern pain management as much as possible, that's where you really get hooked to the shit.

Prescription stimulants fueled my year+ binge, so i could see how a script to pain killers could turn one into a junkie.

Going to the Dr on monday to find out exactly. I've been using booze and drugs for 10 years to deal with it lol, but my insurance is running out so I gotta get on this. I posted in the shroomery hoping someone might know. I've had the problem for going on 10 years and never gotten it looked at because I hate doctors. I got one reply from a helpful dude and he said his guess was "seperated an AC joint, or have shoulder impingement. or possibly have torn something."
tl;dr, injured my shoulder as a young'n, every once in a while it kinda has a "slipping" feeling that leaves me injured for the next few days/weeks/months depending on severity of the action that caused it to slip.

Most shoulder injuries can be repaired. It can be a painful recovery, but well worth it. I had a torn rotator cuff that had to be surgically repaired. I used a few painkillers for about a month after surgery. Once the painful fucking rehab was done, I never needed any kind of painkiller for it.

you gotta take it easy...
ive taken 100000s of pain killers and im not addicted...
seriously though. ive never gone higher than percocet and hydrocodne. im cool with those. more bang for your buck and you def wont become a junkie from those. start off with 10mgs of hdyro and just chill.

This is what I'm concerned is wrong with me. What exactly did it feel like? I think mine was torn and tried to heal on its own, but never really was able to and gets small tears every time I do one of the actions that hurts me or my bone is spurred and keeps fucking something up in there. I'm scared haha I've never had any surgery.
And I've done a lot of painkillers myself. I tend to do them constantly until I don't have them anymore, and then just don't have them until I accidentally happen across them again. I've done some of the stronger opiates (less than 10 times) but never really felt a draw to them. Heres hoping. I'll post what is wrong with me on Monday when the Dr tells me.
