This plant is afghan kush x yumbolt. It was a free gift and is growing well but has the biggest fan leaves Ive ever seen for a plant its size. They're so big they're shading the branches that are trying to grow through...would it be okay to remove them or would that stress the plant out too much?
i have almost no growing expierence, but from what ive read you never want to remove large healthy fan leaves. if they are covering up your branches gently move them out of the way.
well to put it simple no you dont want to remove the fan leafs. The fan leafs are the solar pannels for your plant you get ride of them then the plant wont be able to make as much energy it needs to grow ... pluse the big fan leafs holds nuts that the plant will use when it forming buds..
if the plant is way to stuck to gether.. just take some string or something and tie the branches down a little so there is more space between.
