Lollipop, or not? That is the Question??

hey guys,
im at the end of 2nd week of flowering and my girls just about stopped stretching i think? they were 14in from my light last night, and today, still at 14in.
plants are LSTed, tops are 14in from the soil, 600W hps, veg time 31 days
should i risk lollipoping the bottom now and possibly direct bud development toward recovering? i do not want to halt bud growth. the canopy doesnt seem THAT dense where the bottom bud sites are hidden, but some are still in shadow. would lollipoping be that beneficial for these short plants?

Your assumptions are correct.
I wouldn't bother lollypopping plants that small. You've still a good amount of light penetrating the canopy.

I wouldn't trim anything off of those. The light penetration is just fine.

thank you both of you!!! i literally had the clippers right on the plant! so i wont trim off anything....so not even the bottom fan leaves?
there are a few fan leaves blocking bud sites but im just going to tie those back as opposed to clipping.

Leave the leaves esp if there aren't that many blocking light cause the pros outweigh the cons.
Put it this way if you want more power you don't go out and rip the solar panels off the house.

Magash; nicely put! the leaves collect the light to give the girl her energy. but what is the correlation between bud sites and light? i was under the impression bud sites would grow more vigorously if exposed to light directly.

To a certain extent. Remove the right amount and you will help but take to many esp if there aren't a lot to begin with then it costs you in yield. I've seen so many people remove all the fan leaves and they suffer in yield every time.
